Theme change

I changed the theme back to one of my old ones because the last one wasn't working out well. There was always a display problem with it which I was getting fed up of. When I get the chance, I'll make a better one but for now, I'll have to settle for this.

1.) Where did you ring in 2008?
Probably slept – I don’t really remember.

2.) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
I was probably on my own because my boyfriend was working away at the time. And I don’t really care for Valentine’s Day.

3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
I’m in uni studying Zoology (allegedly...)

4.) How did you earn your keep?
Student loan! And selling the occasional book on Green Metropolis – Did attempt to start up my own business this year, but ran out of time (and with the credit crunch, it probably would have failed before it really got started...)

5.) Did you end up in the hospital?
The less said about hospitals and medical conditions, the better!

6.) Have you ever encountered the police?
Not really, but I’ve had my fair share of knobheads this year who should have been arrested.

7.) Where did you go on vacation?
Haven’t been on a real holiday in ten years. How pathetic is that?

8.) What did you purchase that was over $500?
My laptop cost around £300 I think, maybe slightly less. That’s almost $500 but with the state of the economy these days, who knows?!

9.) Did you know anybody who got married?
No.

10.) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Not really a person, but my old, old Border Collie died in May this year of old age. I miss the old bag of fleas!

11.) Have you run into anybody you graduated high school with?
I don’t have anything to do with any of them now. Apart from one girl who was my best friend, I couldn’t stand most of the kids I went to school with – they were either chavs and bullies, or stuck up snobs.

12.) Did you move anywhere?
Moving to Derby counts, I think. Though I am at home right now.

13.) What sporting events did you go to?
I don’t really care for sporting events. They bore me.

14.) What concerts did you go to?
Nickelback, Avril Lavinge, Sonata Arctica & Amon Amarth – though the latter wasn’t as good as it could have been because the tour they were on was really craply organised. And Avril could have got someone better than the Jonas Brothers to support her.

15.) Are you registered to vote?
Probably not – I was when I lived in Chesterfield.

16.) If so, did you vote?
Not had an election this year.

17.) Where do you live now?
Derby/Sheffield

18.) What did you do on your birthday?
Can’t remember. Birthdays get crap as you get older.

19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
Not sure...

20.) What is one thing you regretted this year?
Handing an assignment in late.

21.) What's something you learned about yourself?
That I’m not as much as a social recluse as I’d thought.

22.) Any new additions to your family?
Not really – I don’t have much to do with my biological family because after my mum passed away (and bearing in mind that I was a kid when it happened) they treated me and my brother like we didn’t exist. Eventually, I got fed up of it and cut myself off from them completely. The only thing I regret is not seeing my brother more often as I don’t live in the same town anymore.

23.) What was your best month?
August – because I got rid of the Jobcentre!

24.) What from pop culture will you remember 2008 by?
Indiana Jones bringing back the greasers from the 50s.

25.) How would you rate this year with a scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (the best)?
8. Would have been a 10 if my dog hadn’t have died (though it was something I expected would happen sooner rather than later for some time because he was old, plus, the last couple of months have been really, really, shit.
