I'm going to have to throw out the new food I got for my chinchillas because I found insect lava crawling around the bag...yuck...

I wouldn't have been pissed off if it had been old stuff, but the bag was unopened. I mean, didn't anyone in the shop notice the eggs when they were measuring it out? Then, that's what you get when you employ stupid kids instead of someone who knows what they're doing. 

Before anyone asks, (those who know I keep toads), no, the lava wasn't cricket lava, because they were different...

They're ok. It was just the shock of seeing the things. I've had it happen once with hamster food. It's because sometimes these places don't store it properly, but fortunately, they were on the outside of the bag, rather than inside it, so it doesn't look like the things got in there. Still, I'm going to change the pet shop I get them from if I can, so hopefully it won't happen again.
