I've spent half the day trying to track down ingredients for the recipes I'm going to be er... attempting next week. (They'll either turn out great, or I'm going to completely ruin them, and I expect, though hope not, that it's going to be the latter.) Still didn't manage to find half the stuff, urggh, even though the shop I went to was Sainbury's and they're supposed to have werid or unusual stuff, but it was a small one in one of the crap parts of town, so I suppose it's to be expected, really!

On a lighter note, I got myself some books from Waterstones that I've been resisting for ages, all of them paranormal romance/supernatural horror novels. I've been reading those a lot recently. I'd actually gone in to get a natural history book about beavers in Britain (yes, we did once have them before they went the way of most of the other interesting mammals like wolves, bears, lynx and wild boar went), but it was £40.00! And only a paperback at that. That's why I don't tend to buy many natural history books these days, because they either don't have the ones that are interesting, or if they do, they're usually a stupidly expenisive price. Typical...I'll have to look on Amazon, I suppose.

I did hear that they were going to try reintroducing beavers into some parts of the country....scotland i think...

I heard that as well, but if it goes anything like the proposed wolf reintroduction, it probably won't happen :( Wild boar have supposed to escaped from farms, though, so we might get those back by accident.
