Hi everyone. I've not posted much here for the last few weeks because I've been really, really busy with uni stuff. Ah, ah, a week to go until we break up. I'm looking forward to the break, but I doubt I'll get much time for doing fun stuff because I have exams in January so sadly, no fan fic updates - really irritating because I want to at least finish one of them. To be honest, though, I've not really felt much like writing, anyway and it's been like that for some time. I've not lost interest in Star Wars or anything, like that, I've just not felt inclined to do it. I decorated a tree with pagan stuff on it (most Asatru stuff, as you can see) which was quite fun. Sadly, I don't have much room to have stuff like this laying around, so I've had to move it to my window.

I've requested to be moved to another flat in Halls as I'm still having trouble sleeping at night because of one noisey flatmate in particular and there's been an issue with one of the others doing something illegal, which I won't go into on here, but it's really what made me decide to request to be moved more than anything else, plus the fact that my work at uni has been suffering somewhat because I've been feeling tired all the time. I don't mention it often because if you do, you'll just let it take over, but I've been feeling depressed lately because of a combination of stupid inconveniances and serious matters accumulating to overwhelming proportions - I'd almost thought about dropping out but then I came across an article about the conservation of Ethiopian Wolves and it just reminded me why I'm putting myself through all this. I did look at a place this week, but I didn't like the look of it - student squalor flat is the best way to discribe it and although it had it's good points - a bathroom with a bath (I hate showers) and your own fridge in your room, it was greatly in need of being redecorated and there was an awful stink downstairs as soon as I'd walked in. Plus, you had to pay for electricity on a meter (£ 3.00 a week) and if I'm only using a room, it's more than what my brother and I used to pay when I lived in Chesterfield! So I decided I'm better off where I am and waiting for another room in halls to become avialable.

My toes are a pain in the arse (not literally, but...) they just don't seem to be healing, which is a problem you can get with diabetes, and blood pressure seems to have somewhat stablised. If there's anyone reading this who is suffering from diabetes, then a mostly vegetarian/vegan diet made up of non-processed food which is low in sugar and drinking mostly water seems to do the trick. Though supplementing it with the occassional bit of cheese, milk, eggs and meat is important (as long as it's not too much, too often) is needed to make sure you get enough amino acids for protein. The toes are annoying me because I can't be as active as I want to be and it's bloody freezing - I have to wear sandles and sandles in the middle of frigging winter when there's snow on the ground (which happened last week, though it was gone quickly enough) don't mix! I need to wear them because the toes would hurt all the time otherwise.

In the new year, I've been thinking of running a Star Wars RPG if anyone at uni are interested - it's the first time I've done something like that, but with my knowledge of Star Wars in general it shouldn't be too difficult - I didn't even know that there was a current one - I knew about the Westend Games version but at the time when that was around, I didn't know anyone who was really into Sci-fi and Fantasy stuff, so I didn't bother with it. (Plus, I'd never found the manual for it anywhere...)

DnD is brilliant! Gota write some stories on my druid character when I get the chance. It'd be fun and give me a chance to get to know her a little better (and be able to play her more convincingly!)
