Am I Missing Something Here?

I have these two jobs to apply for - one's a cleaning job, but when I call the number to apply for it, no one even answers the damn thing even though it says on the advert, call between Mon-Fri, between 11am - 3pm and the other one, a job for a cashier, told me when I phoned up, that I could download an application form from their website - guess what, I look on the website and it's not even there, not even in one of those useless pdf. files that won't download properly...I mean, do they even want people to apply for the stupid things? Not that I'm that bothered about getting them anyway, but I sometimes wonder if they just do this crap just to waste people's time. Stupid...
