Taking a break...

shistavanenjediI've been doing the 2nd assignment for my OU course over the past couple of days. (I had to skip the first one as I didn't get the course materials in time - luckily, it isn't counted!) I've got most of it done, but there's a couple of questions that were/are horrible! Still, I got blocks 4-8 this week, so at least there won't be a repeat problem of getting them late (at least this time). I'm a bit disapointed in that the one on biology/ecology is one of the shortest blocks in the course. Don't they realise that there's far more to it than that? Probably not. We can't let conservation get in the way of money making, now, can we? Duh... Having said that, the geology kit that came with it is pretty cool and there's even a new hand lens to replace the one that I lost a couple of years back.
Anyway, finished reading A Sword from Red Ice last night - I didn't realise it, but there's two more books to that series - I thought there was only going to be three. The author really needs to cut down on discription and get in more plot :). I've started reading Once Upon a Dreadful Time. I'm not sure what to make of that yet, but after J.V. Jones, the discription is kinda sparse...
I've not really had much time to do much writing on my fan fic lately, let alone even attempting Nano. Be rest assured that I'd much rather be writing about Flik than battling against Powers, but if there's one thing I've learnt is that we can't always do what we'd like.
The little chinchilla escaped when I was cleaning her out today. She's the one that had the bad eye recently. She managed to get all the way to the bedroom, little sod...
Having said that, Fatty managed to eat another water bottle...
