Writer's Strike!
11 November 2007 22:25I don't know if any of you have heard of this, but members of the Writer's Guild of America have gone on strike because of the new contract with the Hollywood studios. For more information go here:
It's appalling just how much the writers are paid. I mean, without them, there wouldn't even be a show! The actors wouldn't have jobs, and neither would the support crews nor anyone else whose livelihood depends on the industry...(That includes you, fat cat board directors!) If you're a fan fic writer, you know just how much work you put into a story, espeaically if it's well researched and written. Many of fan fic writers don't just write stories, but we also run our own websites, and we don't get paid for it, but we do it anyway, because we love what we do. Now imagne that you were told by your boss that he/she was going to cut your pay, but you still had to put in the same hours, etc. Not very pretty, is it?
